In order to carry out the construction of the facilities of the firm SET Investimentos, two adjacent sets of rooms and rest-rooms were integrated to the premises.
The project was based on two axes: activities developed in an open-plan space, i.e., the waiting-room and the workstation, and activities with a more restrict use, such as the meeting-rooms and the board-room.
The remarkable presence of pillars was used as a reference for the definition of the rooms in relation to the main façade. In the transverse axis, the solution of the project chose to limit physically the rooms with glass panels supported by a series of low cabinets. Steel cabinets were specifically built with such purpose. Their positions, alternating with drawers or shelves, allowed their use in two different environments.
The set of cabinets, glass panels and doors resulted in a colourful composition of materials, which determined the occupancy.
In the meeting-room, a bookcase was specially designed for the library.
One peculiarity of this suite, at the corner of the building, was the presence of two windows that favours natural lighting, controlled by sun breaks.
